Rep. Jim Renacci (OH-16) today released the following statement on the passing of former South African President Nelson Mandela:

“I am saddened to learn of the passing of President Mandela. The world has lost a true champion for peace, equality, and freedom. A man who led by example, his legacy will live on through his many contributions and all of those whose lives were touched by his inspiring leadership. I send my deepest sympathies to the Mandela family and the people of South Africa.”
