Washington, DC—Today, U.S. Representative Jim Renacci (OH-16) issued the following statement after last evening’s “Conversation with Your Congressman” town hall meeting in Wooster:

“I want to thank everyone who came out to join me at our town hall meeting at the College of Wooster last night. Specifically, I would like to thank the college president, Grant Cornwell, and the entire faculty, staff and student body for inviting me to join them for last night’s meeting and for being such gracious hosts.

“In a room full of more than 150 people, there will always be a diversity of opinions. I could not have been more impressed by the civility shown by everyone in attendance, both to me and to everyone who was able to ask a question or voice their opinion. Open discussions like the one we had last evening are exactly what makes America so unique and our society so strong. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to communicate with and hear from the citizens I represent in our nation’s capital, and I look forward to holding similar events in the future.”

Rep. Renacci is serving his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he is a member of the Financial Services Committee. Prior to his election he worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the health care industry, and owned and operated over 60 other businesses in the automotive and sports management fields.
