Rep. Jim Renacci (OH-16) today released the below statement after voting in favor of the House Republican 2016 Budget:

“While the Republican Budget is not perfect, it is a foundation that will put us on the path to a stronger America. It balances within 10 years, cuts more than $5 trillion in spending, and it calls for a fairer, simpler tax code. I am pleased that it boosts spending for our military above the president’s proposed levels and repeals the president’s health care law to pave the way for patient-centered solutions.

“With a labor force participation rate that is the lowest it’s been in nearly four decades and a growing $18 trillion debt, it’s clear that we have much work ahead of us to strengthen our economy and encourage job creation. The Republican Budget is a good starting point as it will put us on the path to fiscal sustainability and create more opportunities for Americans not only in Ohio, but across the country.”
