Wadsworth, OH -- On Monday, April 16th from 9:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. Congressman Renacci will host a Tax Day Workshop with Community Legal Aid and the IRS’s Taxpayer Advocate Service at the Medina County Public Central Library (Meeting Room A), 210 S Broadway St., Medina, Ohio 44256.
The event will provide taxpayers with information regarding the resources that are available to them to resolve any tax issues they may encounter and to come into compliance with the IRS. The event will not include assistance with completing 2017 returns. The event will, however, provide a list of free-file locations.
Next year, American taxpayers will have much more freedom in filing their tax forms through simpler forms, a repealed individual mandate, increased tax credit, and doubled standard deduction thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act which I co-authored last fall. Typical Ohio families of four earning $73,000 a year will get a tax cut of $2,059 next year thanks to this legislation that was recently signed into law.
Questions regarding the Tax Day Workshop can be directed to David Dobo, who can be reached at Congressman Jim Renacci’s Wadsworth office at 330 334 0040 or David.Dobo@mail.house.gov
This event is open to the media. For any questions, please contact Kelsey Knight at 202 306 5582 or Kelsey.Knight@mail.house.gov
