Parma, Ohio -- On Monday, August 6th at 4:00 P.M, Congressman Jim Renacci will moderate his inaugural Renacci Opioid Action Panel at his Parma district office, 7335 Ridge Road, Parma, Ohio 44129.
For the last year, Congressman Renacci has relied on an opioid working group to bounce ideas from Washington off on those actually experiencing the devastation. The group consists of former addicts, parents who have lost a partner or child through opioids, and recovery advocates.
“It’s easy to get lost in the Washington shuffle, where everything is about money and who can get their name on what recovery center,” said Renacci. "It’s important to hear directly from the people who live within this chaos each day and I’m proud to provide a platform to share their concerns.”
The August 6th panel will showcase their thoughtful discussions over the past year and target three main topics: Transportation, the Good Samaritan Law, and Pill Mills.
Jack Davis, Chief of Cuyahoga Falls Police Department
Claudia Amrhein, General Manager of Portage Area Regional Transit Authority
Nicole Walmsley, Law Enforcement Liaison of Recovery Unplugged
Greg McNeill, Founder, and President of Cover2 Resources
Dr. Dan Brown, Chief Medical Officer of Meridian Healthcare
