Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Jim Renacci (R-OH) released the following statement on the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) approval of a National Dislocated Worker Grant for Ohio workers:
"Because of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act championed by Republicans in the House, I am pleased to see the Labor Department award a grant of up to 1.75 million dollars to help those impacted from the General Motors plant in Lordstown. These additional funds will establish a transition center for affected workers. I appreciate the Trump Administration awarding this grant to those workers affected by this plant's layoffs. I will continue to work with the Administration and be an advocate for legislation that makes these grants available."
