STRONGSVILLE, OH - On June 17th at 10 am, Congressman Jim Renacci will be joining Rolling Thunder at the Ohio State House.
Riders will come from across Ohio for Rolling Thunder’s annual run to the State Capital. Rolling Thunder’s arrival in Columbus will be announced by the roar of their motorcycles, a sound not unlike the 1965 bombing campaign against North Vietnam dubbed Operation Rolling Thunder.
Congressman Renacci will be speaking to the Ohio Chapters of Rolling Thunder concerning the National Veterans’ Memorial & Museum being built in Columbus. Congressman Renacci is an original cosponsor of House Resolution 1900 designating the National Veterans Memorial and Museum as a national memorial to “honor, connect and inspire and educate all Americans about the service and sacrifice of our nation’s more than 22 million veterans.” The designation would make the Columbus memorial the only national memorial in the nation to cover all branches of service and all eras.
Congressman Renacci toured the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on May 22nd. He visited the site and check on the progress while discussing the plans for the memorial’s completion.
