Washington D.C. -- Today, Congressman Jim Renacci (OH-16) applauds the passage of H.R. 2810, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which will provide our military the resources it needs.
"I am proud to have supported the NDAA, which passed the House today with broad bipartisan support. Under the budget caps established during the Obama Administration, our military had been dramatically underfunded, diminishing its readiness and deferring maintenance to the point that many of our planes can’t fly and ships and subs can’t sail without encountering problems. The NDAA will not only provide the Department of the Defense with much needed funding increases to procure new and repair existing equipment but will also provide our troops with their largest pay raise in years. It is critical, now more than ever, that we equip our troops and military commanders with the means to address the growing threats our country faces in an increasingly dangerous world."
