Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Congressman Jim Renacci (R-OH) awarded Katherine Mazzella, from Westlake High School, the first place winner for Ohio’s Sixteenth Congressional District in the 2017 Congressional Art Competition.  Katherine’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

“Congratulations to Katherine on this major accomplishment. She told me that her photos and inspiration came locally, which will provide the hallway leading to the Capitol, the perfect reminder of who we represent.  It will be displayed among some of the best artistic talent across the country.  I also must commend People’s Choice winner Marissa Yovanovich and runners up Katelyn Becker, Meghan Hummel, and Ashley Hall for their outstanding art pieces.  It makes me proud to know such promising talent resides in the 16th District of Ohio,” Renacci said.
