Washington, D.C. -- I applaud the joint statement that just came out on tax reform released from the Trump Administration, House, and Senate. I am persistently pushing legislators and Washington to follow regular order because the broken system we have in D.C. doesn’t work in the real world. After encouraging my committee to hold hearings and debate issues among experts before bring a product to the floor -- we have now held four hearings on tax reform which allowed me to bring my concerns on border adjustability out in the open. I am encouraged to see policy makers prioritizing tax reform and not allowing differences to cause gridlock and instead find solutions. I look forward to using this momentum to find consensus on reforming the tax code.
