Washington, D.C. – Congressman Renacci applauds the Trump Administration’s decision to withdraw from the Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) rule:
Too often, the federal government can do great harm by issuing rules and regulations without regard for the impact on local governments and rural communities. I have always said the closer the policy-makers are to their constituents, the more effective the policies are. Which is why having bureaucrats out in D.C. regulating our ponds, lakes, irrigation ditches, even our golf course streams does not work for Ohio. I applaud the President’s decision to ensure that economic growth and the entrepreneurial spirit are not suffering due to the government’s overregulation, and that our government is held accountable.
